Production / technology
Technological background and manufacturing competencies
The technological background of K&K 95 Kft. enables the entire brake hose manufacturing process to be carried out in-house, from the extrusion of the rubber hose, through the machining and galvanization of the fittings, to the finished assembly.
This vertically integrated production model ensures exceptional flexibility, short lead times and high quality assurance.

Rubber hose extrusion
The first step in brake hose production is the production of rubber hoses on our own extruder.
The extrusion process allows for:
• precise control of the material composition of the inner and outer layers (EPDM base material)
• precise placement and orientation of the fabric inserts (PVA, PES)
• continuous control of wall thickness and diameter
The hoses produced in this way meet the requirements of the SAE J1401 standard, including:
• brake fluid resistance
• ozone resistance
• mechanical flexibility and durability

Fitting Manufacturing – precision CNC machining
The steel fittings used at the ends of the brake pipes are manufactured on our own CNC machinery.
Machining operations:
• automatic turning (threaded and plain ends)
• drilling, milling and jointing
• deburring
• visual and dimensional inspection
Manufacturing can be done:
• based on customer drawings
• based on OEM references
• by re-modeling of a sample
We ensure high accuracy and repeatability during production.

Galvanization – own surface treatment plant
We provide corrosion protection for fittings in our own galvanizing plant.
Applied technology:
• zinc-based electrolytic coating
• white (bluish tint) passivation
• hexavalent chromium-free, RoHS-compliant process
Quality control:
• layer thickness measurement with X-ray fluorescence (XRF) equipment
• documented control of each production batch
This ensures long-term corrosion resistance and compliance with OEM/IAM requirements.

Assembly and pressing
The assembly of rubber hoses and fittings is carried out on automatic and semi-automatic pressing machines.
For each product type:
• the pressing parameters (pressure, profile, cycle time) are validated
• the connections undergo mechanical inspection
• each manufactured unit is registered with a unique article number and LOT identifier
The finished products undergo 100% pressure testing.

Custom production – prototype and small series
Our manufacturing system enables:
• sample-based reverse engineering
• CAD-based design
• prototype production
• small series production (up to 10–50 pieces)
This enables us to serve special needs, such as:
• aftermarket special needs
• small OEM manufacturers
• special vehicle manufacturers
• oldtimer restoration
